If you’re looking for a fishing spot that won’t disappoint, head to Douglas Lake. From February to March, you can expect to catch Sauger near the Hwy 25 bridge and upstream. Largemouth Bass are abundant in April and May, while Crappie season typically runs from March to May. The spring spawning season sees a massive number of Crappie in the wide, shallow embayments. White Bass fishing is at its best from February to March, with mid-April being a great time in the headwaters. Bluegill fishing is top-notch from April to October.
